Finally...

E-mail Print PDF

Well, it has been far too long, but I am now a little closer to actively maintaining this site.

Yes, there was a move and it all went well and is very good - but now it's time to spend a little more time involved in my photography and posting up on this site.

The first order of business is a few administrative changes behind the scenes, most of which you won't notice, but still need to be done.  I hope to have more here shortly :-)

Galleries

After a lot of experimenting and investigation, I've decided to resume using Zenfolio as my gallery provider.  This gives a fantastic layout and lots of options to enhance the experience for both end users and for me.

I'll be tinkering with settings for a little while to get it all happening, but I'm confident that this is the way to move forward to acheive the results I'm looking for.

Also, life is very busy at the moment and with impending (hopefully!) move of address coming up, so things might be a little sparse for the next few weeks.

I have a new blog!  OK, perhaps it's not exciting enough to have an exclamation mark, but I hope it might keep you amused now and then.  Please check out the link from the left for Ephemeral Musings (or just click this time).

Enjoy!

Where are the photos?

Well, yes.  Fair question.

I have installed a photo gallery plugin for Joomla and I will put a few images up shortly, but mostly I'm waiting for Gallery 3 to go into final release (it's in Release Candidate at the moment).  Once that happens, it hopefully won't be too long before a bridge for Joomla is released and then I can intergrate the two through the website.

If it takes too long, I might install Gallery in a stand alone mode and just link to it from the site, but my preference is to have it all working together.

So, that's why there's a derth of images are the moment.

Phil Brown Photography!

Welcome to the website for Phil Brown Photography.

The site is new and currently under development.  I aim to provide a portal to exhibit my photographs, to allow purchases, feedback, discussions and technical discussions.

This will be my little corner of the internet, and I hope that you enjoy spending time here.
